About Sidh

Sidh is a village located in Tehsil Kharian, in the Gujrat District of Pakistan.
Location
Sidh is located Bhimbhar - Kharian Road approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from Kharian and 35 kilometres (22 mi) from Gujrat. Its neighbouring villages include Kohli, Jakhar, Bhaatti and Udha. As you can find the Sidh map with the respective villages. 
People
The majority of inhabitants of village are Sidhu Jatts; the name of the village is derived from their caste. There are almost 700 households in Sidh, of which more than 650 are Jatts.
Economy 
Sidh hosts five Sunni Islam mosques, a post office, an animal hospital, shops, a mill and many schools. The land surrounding the village is arid, production of crops is totally dependent on seasonal rainfall. As a result, agriculture has not been the main source of income for the local population. Many of the villagers have gone overseas to find work.

Sports in Sidh
There are many Games played by the youth of Sidh, But the most Popular game is Cricket. The Cricket Team of Sidh is Known as Sidhu Fighters and they prove themself as a good fighter. In a single year they won about 11 champion ships (Tournaments) for their Village.  They play like a unit. In the following photo you can see the team. This photo was taken in Feb 2011 when they won the tournament at their home ground... Most Promising players of Sidhu Fighter are Umer Sidhu, Bilal Sidhu, Sarran Aslam and Jalal Sidhu... They have a very extra ordinary Wicket Keeper name as Mohsin who has taken many of the unblievable catches, which leads the team to the Victory...
